About

Hi, I’m Kierstyn. A full time working mom of two little ones and two bonus teens, a wife to my amazing husband and a Team Leader for Discovery Toys. Life is busy, am I right? We all try to do our best managing the day to day tasks of life, but raising a family on top of it, adds a whole new level. Are they getting enough sleep? Why won’t they eat their veggies? Are they saying enough words? Should they know their alphabet? Why are they crying again? Was I too harsh? Did I say “I love you” enough? These questions (and many more!) run through my head daily.

As a mother, we never think we do enough. I learned early on in parenthood (with my bonus kids), that this worry never goes away. One thing I promised myself, while helping raise my bonus kids, is that we would always have fun! Seeing their faces light up on family game nights was amazing. With having limited time with the kids, my husband and I made the best of it. Our weekends were busy but fun!

When our toddlers were born, life got even more hectic. Only 14 months apart, the days were a blur. Adjusting to life of two under two was difficult. I’ll admit, I lost my way for a few months. I lost that sense of fun. Keeping two young, young kids happy and healthy was difficult. Especially while suffering with postpartum depression and trying to keep things as normal as possible for the older two.

When my son was about six months old, I knew I needed to make a change. I knew I had to get back to my old self and bring FUN back into our house. I decided to take the leap and joined Discovery Toys. The journey was slow to start, but slowly I have picked up momentum. My children have benefitted from these educational toys and I brought the power of play back into our house!

Stick around and follow me on my journey through parenthood and life. Learn how to bring the power of play into your household and watch those little ones flourish!
